Ramon Bruesseler, born in 1962, studied Economic Geography, Economics and Development
Economics at the universities of Bonn and Aachen, where he graduated as M.A. in 1989.
Three years later he became Ph.D. (summa cum laude) and received the Borchers Award for
outstanding scientific work.
After five years as a scientist, specializing in and publishing about Asian economic
development he moved to a regional economic development agency as director of
international marketing and infrastructure development.

Marc has extensive work experience in project management, consultancy, staff and budget management. Specialized in development, Public Private Partnership, Advocacy work, Marc has been living and working in developing Asian countries for 7 years.
With a strong international background through work experience in Europe, China, Central Asia and SE Asia, Marc holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Fudan University with a specialization in Macro-economic relations between China and the European Union.

Gellert is Co—chairman of EC Vietnam since October 2017. He has various working experience on the field of EU administration, law, politics and diplomacy in Vietnam. He was Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Hungary in Hanoi (2012-2015)

Blaise Kilian is Deputy Director of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia where he is in charge of the Advocacy program. A graduate from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, he also received a higher education degree in applied economics and has an expertise in Khmer language and civilization. He has been residing in Cambodia since 1999, working for a number of public and private agencies, both Cambodian and foreign, such as UNESCO, French Embassy and Cambodia Airports. He has an extensive knowledge of the Kingdom and its business environment. He is fluent in French, English and Khmer.

Nga Nguyen is a senior associate of Hogan Lovells in Vietnam. As a Vietnam-qualified lawyer and licensed IP Agent, Nga has been handling hundreds of IP infringement cases and acting for numerous well known clients for the past 23 years.
Nga is involved in all types of intellectual property matters, including trade mark and patent prosecution, searching, opinions, administrative and court enforcement, as well as general strategic advice.

Wouter Vanhees is the Trade and Investment Counsellor for Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), the trade and investment promotion agency of the region of Flanders in Belgium. The office of FIT in Hanoi covers Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, supporting Flemish companies’ market entry and business development in these three countries.

Andrea is a Canadian lawyer and Master of International Relations graduate. She has six years of professional international experience in corporate, commercial and foreign investment law. After completing her juris doctorate and master’s degree in Ottawa, Andrea did her articles at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, a full-service corporate/commercial law firm in Toronto. She then moved to Lao PDR and worked in DFDL’s Vientiane office as a Legal Adviser. In Laos, Andrea did general advisory work clients with a focus on foreign investment and labour and employment matters. She also advised both lenders and sponsors on several major hydro-power projects. From Laos, Andrea then moved to Tbilisi, Georgia where she was the Executive Director of the International Chamber of Commerce for one year. Following this, Andrea and family moved to Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina where she worked as Counsel at Karanovic & Nikolic, a regional law firm with a presence in the countries of the former-Yugoslavia. As a member of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice group, Andrea contributed as a writer and was responsible for editing Focus on Energy, a Karanovic & Nikolic publication on energy-law developments in the region.
