Tesla wants power companies to stop producing energy and help individual households to create their own electricity instead.

Through recent success stories and examples from innovative companies — large and small, high-tech and traditional - this seminar proposes a number of innovation strategies and practices that Vietnamese entrepreneurs could adopt to invent or re-invent their products and services.

Chair and Professor of Information Technology Management and Faculty Director, Vietnam Executive MBA (Hanoi & HCMC) at University of HawaiiProfessor Tung Bui is currently chair of Global Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and head of the ITM Department at the Shidler College of Business. He earned a doctorate in managerial economics from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland and a Ph.D. in information systems from the Stern School of Business at New York University. In 1993, a research journal nominated him as “one of the most influential researchers in the field of decision support systems” based on citation. In addition to scientific awards, Bui is the recipient of the 2003 SBA Small Business Research Advocate Award by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Despite his administrative duties, as of today, ResearchGate’s ranks Bui on the top 15% among research based on worldwide citations of all scientific disciplines.
He has chaired 12 major international conferences, and the chair of the HICSS conference. His current research interests focus on Computer-supported group decision and negotiation, Electronic Commerce and the Digital Economy, Economic evaluation of information technology and Emergency Response Systems
