Shortly after its launch in Hanoi, EuroCham will present the 11th edition of the Whitebook on 20 March in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Whitebook is the Chamber's landmark publication on trade and investment issues and recommendations. Published in every year since 2007, the Whitebook is the main product of EuroCham's core activity: advocacy.
This Whitebook Briefing will be a unique discussion on trade and investment in Vietnam, with a focus on the role of the European business community in Ho Chi Minh City with the theme:
THE EU-VIETNAM FREE TRADE AGREEMENT- HO CHI MINH CITY AS BRIDGE TO EUROPE.
The event will count on the presence of business and Ho Chi Minh leaders as well as EuroCham's key partners.
The discussion will include two parts: the assessment of recent Ho Chi Minh City's innovative policies and European Trade and Investments and key issues and recommendations from the European business community in Vietnam in the 11th edition of the Whitebook. The publication is a collective message that cuts across several industries and companies, dealing with diverse sectoral and cross-sectoral topics, while reflecting the views and expectations of EuroCham members and partners.

After studying law in France and Germany, Mr Bouflet served the European Commission for 37 years. Among others he participated to the negotiations of the WTO Agreement and also to the taskforce for the accession to the EU of Sweden, Finland and Austria. As member of the legal service of the Commission, he acted for many years as litigator of the EU in the WTO Dispute Settlement Panels. He was also Deputy Representative of the European Commission in France. Finally, he was posted as Head of Trade Affairs in the EU Delegation to Thailand and subsequently in the Delegation to Vietnam where he participated to the lead negotiators meetings of the EVFTA.
Minh is Partner in charge of Tax & Business Advisory Services at Mazars Vietnam. Minh is also Executive Committee Member of Eurocham, and Executive Committee Member of the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CEEC). Minh supports international groups and foreign invested companies doing business in Vietnam via technical advice and various advocacy activities toward Vietnamese Government agencies. He is active in promoting business cooperation between Vietnam and European countries.

Ambassador Bruno Angelet is an experienced Belgian diplomat. Prior to be appointed as the EU Ambassador to Vietnam, he was the Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam. He was also serving as the Advisor on the EU of the Deputy Prime Minister of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium. His experience on the EU was enriched with the post as the Deputy Director for the European Security and Defence at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Nicolas is EuroCham Co-Chair since October 2017, having been a member of its Executive Committee since 2014, with particular involvement in the preparation of the White Book and advocacy on behalf of foreign investors to the Vietnamese authorities. Member of the Paris Bar, Nicolas Audier is an attorney with 20 years of experience in the ASEAN Region and Vietnam in particular. He has been working in Vietnam since 1995 and was head of a leading international law firm in Vietnam from 1995 to 2008, before establishing Audier & Partners, which now has offices in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ulan Bator and Yangon. He is special trade advisor on Vietnam for the French MFA since 1999, having been honored (“Bang Khen”) by the Vietnamese Minister of Justice in recognition of his substantial contribution to the development of Vietnam’s legal system, one of three lawyers to ever receive this distinction.
