Following the recent launch of EuroCham's 12th annual Whitebook in Hanoi, EuroCham will hold a special briefing event with HCMC leaders on Tuesday 28th July at the Rex Hotel.
The Whitebook is the Chamber's landmark publication on trade and investment issues and recommendations. Published in every year since 2007, the Whitebook is the main product of EuroCham's core activity: Trade Advocacy.
This Whitebook Briefing will be a unique discussion on trade and investment in Vietnam, with a focus on the role of the European business community in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will count on the presence of business and Ho Chi Minh City leaders as well as EuroCham's key partners.
The discussion will include a presentation from the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade, who will share an introduction to HCMC's export development plan and the policies supporting businesses for implementation of the EVFTA.
Following this, there will be presentations from EuroCham Sector Committees on "Opportunities and Challenges: Trade and Investment Recommendations of European Businesses Community in Vietnam for Sectorial Potential for Benefits under the EVFTA". This will be split into three thematic sessions: Infrastructure, Customs and Trade Facilitation; Smart and Sustainable Development for Industries; and Consumer Choice.
The Whitebook cuts across several industries and companies, dealing with diverse sectoral and cross-sectoral topics, while reflecting the views and expectations of EuroCham members and partners.
