Yen has over 17 years of experience in IP enforcement & litigation. Her specialty in contentious and non-contentious IP matters has a focus on enforcement, protection, and commercialization of trademarks, patents, copyright, and domain names. Her expertise in IP stretches across multiple regions including Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

She also has extensive experience in advising clients in data protection and data privacy in Vietnam. She has recently worked with the Digital Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam to contribute comments to the Ministry of Public Security on the draft decree of personal data protection. She also speaks at workshops on data protection and digital transformation in Vietnam and SEA organized by the World Economic Forum and Lexology.

Under the lead of Yen Vu, Rouse Vietnam has been chosen by the UK Government to provide technical training to IP authorities in Vietnam within the framework of their cooperation with the country. She also has experience working closely with the drafting committee of the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam and the Copyright Office of Vietnam for IP law amendment exercises over the years.

Jeff Paine is a Singapore-based professional with more than 25 years of experience at leading multinational corporations including Visa, Microsoft, Reuters and the Royal Bank of Canada. He has been based in Singapore for more than 20 years and has held regional roles covering Southeast Asia for more than twelve years. As the founder and managing director of PS-engage, a government relations consulting firm which works with leading IT, e-commerce, finance and payment companies, Jeff manages an international team of experts to provide guidance on constructive engagement with governments and assist with regulatory and policy work.

Jeff currently serves as the Managing Director of the Asia Internet Coalition (AIC), a leading industry body that promotes smart regulatory reforms for the digital economy. He is also a Co-Chair of the Financial Services Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and a member of the Tax Feedback Panel at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).

Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University in the US. He also attended the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and completed a diploma program on Innovations in Governance. Jeff also serves as an Executive Education Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

Ms. Ha Nguyen is responsible for advancing digital economic policy issues and engaging with government agencies in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. Amazon Web Services (AWS) - the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform - is providing cloud computing tools that are helping Vietnamese startups and big enterprises to lower their IT costs, improve their cyber security, increase their regional competitiveness, and experiment with innovative services like big data, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence.

Ms Ha has extensive experience working in both private sector’s international institutions and government agencies, with focus on foreign investments. Before joining AWS, she was the Director of Government Affairs and Securities Country Manager of Citi Vietnam, engaging with key economic ministries, financial services regulators and industry groups to advance policy issues aimed at growing and protecting business operations for foreign and domestic clients in various segments e.g SOEs, FDI, global and local financial institutions and portfolio institutional investors.

Ms Ha is a Vice Chair of Eurocham’s Digital Sector Committee and Co-Chair of Amcham Vietnam’s Innovation and Digital Economy Committee.
