High tech and semiconductors have recently grabbed the world's attention as supply chain disruptions and geopolitical clashes have transformed the industry from ho-hum to headline news.
The massive growth of the industry during the COVID pandemic, combined with the supply chain challenges and labor shortages, has driven tech companies towards greater digitalization to meet customer demand and compete.
In addition, the explosion of high tech applications, from AI to blockchain to 5G to autonomous vehicles, is driving massive expansion in capacity for semiconductors and tech products, and governments are keen to expand their tech industries for economic and national security purposes. Countries are now competing with incentives to lure tech and semiconductor companies to invest.
