The Meet Europe 2018 conference is among the largest business-to-Government events of the year in Vietnam, showcasing the best European business has to offer.
Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam (MOFA) and supported by EuroCham Vietnam and the EU Delegation to Vietnam, the event will gather the highest circles of the Vietnamese Government and company representatives. The event is kindly hosted by the Hanoi People's Committee.
SESSION 1 - High Level Plenary
The Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc will attend and speak at the event, which will be opened by the Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam H.E. Bui Thanh Son and with the presence of the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee H.E. Hoang Trung Hai. A large number of European and Vietnamese companies will attend the event and will meet directly with numerous Government officials and heads of provincial People's Committees present, from Ca Mau to Ha Giang.
The plenary session will also include speeches and presentations by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Vietnam H.E. Ms. Beatrice Maser, EU Ambassador to Vietnam H.E. Mr. Bruno Angelet, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee H.E. Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung, and Dr. Dang Minh Duc from the Vietnam National Institute for European Studies, including the two Co-Chairmen of EuroCham Vietnam.
Session 2 - Thematic
A second part of the Meet Europe 2018 will give the stage to European companies that have been successful in Vietnam, especially when doing business in the country's provinces. These "case-studies" will be presented by business leaders in several industries and will also highlight the support that the provincial governments have lent to the development of their companies. These "thematic sessions" will cover:

President and CEO of Siemens VietnamDr. Lai became the first Vietnamese President and CEO of Siemens Vietnam in July 2012. He has successfully broadened the company product portfolio and strengthened its presence in the market. Under his leadership, Siemens Vietnam has become one of the most successful MNCs in Vietnam. Dr. Lai is passionate to support the development of the basic infrastructures of Vietnam in areas of energy, transportation, industry, building and healthcare. Prior to his assignment to Vietnam, Dr. Pham held various management positions in R&D, product development, strategy and sales at the different business areas of Siemens AG, such as corporate research, corporate strategy, telecommunications, energy and healthcare. He holds a Masters and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering both from the Technical University of Munich.

President and CEO of ABBDr. Brian Hull was born in Ireland. He joined ABB in 2000 in the Low Voltage Systems (LVS) business in the UK. He then held a number of roles including Managing Director for LVS in the UK and Managing Director for Measurement and Analytics in the UK and Ireland. Brian was Managing Director of ABB in Oman and Bahrain for 4 years before becoming Managing Director of ABB in Vietnam.

General Director of Siemens Healthineers
Fabrice is the Managing Director of Siemens Healthineers Vietnam since 2012. He was in charge of the “go to market” strategy of the company, having led the establishment of Siemens Healthcare Ltd as a Vietnamese legal entity and its structure and manpower building. In parallel, he held several senior divisional management roles for Siemens Healthineers in Asia. Fabrice is also the Chairman of the EuroCham Medical Devices and Diagnostics Sector Committee comprises 20 companies in the segment, representing more than 70% of Vietnam's Medical Devices market. Fabrice has been with Siemens for most of his career, having held a number of senior management in its Healthcare sector based in the USA, France, Germany and Singapore, ranging from Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Post-Merger Integration, After Sales business and General Management. Fabrice holds Masters degrees in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Management, as well as a Executive Leadership Certificate from IESE. .
Julien Lecuyer joined the CMA CGM Vietnam-Cambodia cluster in 2015, focusing particularly on inland business development in Vietnam. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering and another in Finance.
Ms. Dubno is Public Affairs & Market Access Director at Adamed Group – a leading Polish pharmaceutical and biotechnological company. She is also a board member of the Adamed Group Foundation, running the flagship program Adamed SmartUP – a program for the youth gifted in science. She is also the Vice-President of the Management Board at Polish Union of Employers in Pharmaceutical Industry which is part of Medicines for Europe.

Pham Minh Anh received his PhD on aquaculture nutrition from Korea. Currently, He is Neovia Group's R&D Director in Vietnam and serves as a permanent member of Global Innovation Committee within the company. He currently leads a 70-staff R&D team aiming to develop various solutions for sustainable livestock and aquaculture industries in Vietnam and Asia.

He was CEO of the Greenery, a co-operative of fresh produce growers, and headed the Classic Dairy & Cheese division of Friesland Foods, a co-operative of dairy farmers. Willem took responsibility in 2008 as CEO of 2 companies in advertising products, one in Europe and later-on one in the US. In 2016, he returned to the Foods industry as GD of Nedspice Vietnam and moved to Ho Chi Minh City. Since 2010, Willem is Non-Executive Board member & Head of the Audit Committee of Milkiland N.V. one of the leading Ukrainian-Russian Dairy companies, listed at the Warsaw stock exchange.
Hans Kerstens has obtained a Master degree in commercial sciences at EHSAL in Brussels Belgium, with a specialization in finance and risk management. Mr. Kerstens has been in Asia for more than 5 years and works for DEEP C Industrial Zones, one of the leading industrial park developers in Vietnam, since early 2016.

In Vietnam since 2008, he was previously at the helm of two of Vietnam's most acclaimed hotels: The Reverie Saigon and The Nam Hai. Prior to Vietnam, he worked in Austria, Germany, England, Cyprus and Malaysia for two decades.
