Managing the cost and compliance, of foreign workers remains difficult, especially in an emerging market like Vietnam where ambiguous and often-changing regulations are a challenge for enterprises. The new scheme in which social insurance applies for foreign employees came into force in 2018. Enforcement procedures, including better connection between tax and immigration authorities also raises potential risks and costs to both the employer and foreign employees. Furthermore, the audit activities of the Tax Authorities, especially in some provinces in Vietnam is intensifying. It is therefore important that employers are thinking about how to mitigate these risks and adopt better practices when facing controversy or disputes with the relevant Government authorities.
Increased regulatory and operational risk requires companies to carefully consider the broad range of complex issues and employment costs to ensure compliance of the foreign workforce.
Join us in this seminar where we will share the current issues, relevant regulations and practical approaches to manage compliance and cost for foreign workforce in Vietnam via our panel discussion on social insurance, immigration requirements and Personal Income Tax implications for expatriate employees in Vietnam.
