Over the past 20 years, Vietnam has established itself as one of the brightest manufacturing hotspots in Southeast Asia. From 1986 to 2018, land allotted to industrial parks grew from 335 hectares to an impressive 80,000 hectares. This phenomenal growth can be attributed to a host of reasons, but it has certainly helped steer foreign investment towards Vietnam. Samsung' s reported $17Bn investment in the country, for example, is at the forefront of the many operations that have paved the way for unprecedented foreign investment confidence.
Vietnam is on the radar of foreign investors as a country which has the potential to become a leading industrial powerhouse in the ASEAN region, an expectation which has recently gained strength with the relocation of large operations from China to Vietnam.
This conference features JLL experts who will discuss important questions relevant to current and prospective foreign industries and businesses in Vietnam, covering the current state of the industrial property market and why it is believed that the country will soon be moving up the value chain, gradually steering away from labour intensive towards capital intensive industries.
The event will also cover the key advantages of investing and operating in Vietnam and how E-commerce will play an important role in the development of the logistics sector. Finally, BW Industrial experts will launch the discussion on the road ahead towards Industry 4.0 in Vietnam, its potential impact and how the company has been invested in this transformation.
This conference is supported by the EU-Vietnam Business Network.
