As digital transformation is entering a new period of development, pervading all customer segments and industries, Vietnam is urged is to take bolder actions to effectively strengthen cybersecurity. On 27 December 2020, the MPS published the draft outline of the Decree on Personal Data Protection. This reflects the Government's goal of developing a comprehensive legal framework regarding data protection that is in line with international standards. Dr. Chu Thi Hoa is currently the Deputy Director of Institute of Legal Science at the Ministry of Justice. Prior to her current position, she has published numerous reputable national-level scientific researches related to the reforming of the judiciary system in Vietnam, improving efficiency of law enforcement of state agencies, and other legislative topics.
Dr. Hoa has also published over thirty reference books and research articles nationally, of which she discussed how the international judiciary systems, experiments and suggestions to enhance Vietnam’s legal frameworks to better equality and justice.

Ms. Ha Nguyen is responsible for advancing digital economic policy issues and engaging with government agencies in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. Amazon Web Services (AWS) - the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform - is providing cloud computing tools that are helping Vietnamese startups and big enterprises to lower their IT costs, improve their cyber security, increase their regional competitiveness, and experiment with innovative services like big data, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence.
Ms Ha has extensive experience working in both private sector’s international institutions and government agencies, with focus on foreign investments. Before joining AWS, she was the Director of Government Affairs and Securities Country Manager of Citi Vietnam, engaging with key economic ministries, financial services regulators and industry groups to advance policy issues aimed at growing and protecting business operations for foreign and domestic clients in various segments e.g SOEs, FDI, global and local financial institutions and portfolio institutional investors.
Ms Ha co-chairs ICT Committee of AmCham and is an active member of Eurocham’s Digital Sector Committee.
