According to studies in the Harvard Business Review, a diverse workplace results in smarter, better performing teams and increased financial outcomes. A diverse and inclusive workplace is an essential factor to building a successful business, fostering creativity, building a more positive culture among employees and even translating into higher profits.
On January 14, 2019, the EuroCham HR & Training Sector Committee is hosting a workshop to inform and inspire participants on how to create a positive working environment for all employees, and of the practical benefits in doing so. Our workshop will address issues in respect to sexism, LGBT individuals, and ageism and will provide participants with a road map for ensuring that all employees feel accepted and comfortable in the workplace.

Sarah is a Canadian-trained lawyer registered with the Department of Justice in Vietnam with over 10 years of professional experience in legal services. Sarah has been based in Vietnam for approximately five years, working as an employment lawyer. She has expertise on contentious employment matters such as dismissals and the negotiation of separation agreements, as well as non-contentious matters such as the drafting of employment contracts, internal labour regulations, service agreements and consultancy agreements. Sarah also advises on employment issues in relation to global asset and share transactions.

Ngo Le Phuong Linh is in charge of Work with Pride - the first initiative of ICS Center that promotes workplace equality and inclusion for LGBTI community in Vietnam. Started as a volunteer to lead VietPride 2015 - the biggest annual event of LGBT community in Ho Chi Minh city, Linh is now also the acting director of ICS Center, planning for the organization and partners to create massive changes in the movement toward LGBTI rights in Vietnam in 2019. On international level, Linh is an alumni of YSEALI Academic Fellows Program on Social Entrepreneurship & Economic Development, and is also serving as the youngest Executive Board member represents South East Asia in International Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Intersex Association (ILGA).
