Over the past few years, steps have been taken to implement a system primarily run on renewable. While more attractive incentives and regulations are still needed, the rich potential for clean energy is enough to remain hopeful of a gradual transition to a system fueled by abundant renewable energy sources. Recently, Vietnam has also decided to stick to its plan to end its offer of a fixed wind power feed-in tariff (FiT) in November and switch to a new mechanism to set the wind power prices through bidding processes.
